If it's not raining, did you even ride?

Well, it's past time for an update.

From Richmond Hill, I went to Midland, GA, to get a half-day ride after those interviews. I stayed at Lake Pines Campground it was nice, minus the walk-in sites. I've got way too much stuff for that.

On day three, I got stopped by a monsoon in Jackson, Mississippi. I've ridden in rain before, but this came up to the bottom of my bike, and I thought better of riding in that. Got a hotel to dry out for the night.

On day four, I rode 433 miles to visit Nielsen in Little Elm, Texas. I haven't seen him in 20 years. We did a Skype call for the Marine Corps birthday, and all the guys had beards. He told me I needed to work on mine... so I did. We spent the night reminiscing and getting to know the family a bit.

Today was a 450-mile ride to Tucumcari on Route 66. I got my campsite all set up and had dinner at Kix on 66. It's a pretty good place. The carrot cake is homemade and awesome.
