Day 2

Updated: Feb 11, 2019

Sleeping in the Hotel last night definitely rejuvenated me. It also gave me a chance to repack my gear so I can get to my essentials more readily.

While setting out today, I was driving through Iowa, and I thought there is no way I will ever be able to express the beauty of this trip. How can you tell someone how it feels to ride 80 mph down the road with nothing around you. The air forced into your lungs, the unobstructed view. You truly have the ability to take in everything. There is no way for me to relay to someone the amazing feeling of the sites that you take in with such freedom.

I made an unscheduled stop today and went to the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa. I saw signs for it while driving, I was thinking of passing it up, but then I thought it would be such a shame to pass by while making such an epic motorcycle trip. It was a really cool place with a lot of history.

On the way, I stopped to take a look at the easter island head in Altoona, IA. But... it was at a park with a lot of kids around, and I was not about to be the creepy person to stop and take photos of the kids in the park with all the parents staring at me, I got enough looks rolling through on the motorcycle. I did stop by the Volkswagon beetle spider in Avoca, IW. I Rode 530 miles today ended up in Doniphan, Nebraska staying at Mormon Island State Recreation Area I got 1100 hundred miles in so far.
